The purpose of the S&P Creation Products department is to enable operational excellence and future readiness of Apparel, Footwear and A&G Product Creation, covering global Creation functions and Sourcing, incl. supply partners. The key objectives of the department are:

  • Translating strategic direction & demand into a product area strategy and product portfolio which is well-balanced between solving operational problems (12-month horizon) and enabling future readiness (3+ years horizon)
  • Executing product ownership for all digital products in the creation area
  • Executing business process ownership on an operational level.
  • Provisioning of change management & support for these processes & the related systems.

As the Senior Director Product Ownership atYou will be accountable to drive the product led transformation in your product area and to build the best organizational structure to deliver.


Accountable for the entire product area

  1. Product Strategy & Delivery
  • Be accountable for the success of the product area, considering the value for the consumer and the company (ROI).
  • Drive the strategic evolution of the product area in line with companywide strategic goals.
  • Define the vision and roadmap for the product area, considering the value for the relevant user groups and the company.
  • Be accountable for product delivery in line with the roadmap and committed delivery dates.
  • Identify and solve dependencies within and beyond your product area to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Represent your domain in key strategic projects and ensure alignment with domain level priorities and delivery capabilities
  • Ensure the provision of user training & business support for all products in the area.
  1. Demand Management
  • Drive Tech demand management & prioritization across assigned Creation products, including alignment with adjacent product areas or domains.
  • Ensure that strategic direction is properly translated into the are strategy and product portfolio and all known constraints and dependencies have been considered.
  • Ensure business cases are well prepared in order to control and monitor performance and results of all investments into the product portfolio.
  1. Stakeholder Management
  • Represent the business for the product area, fostering strong relationships with key global stakeholders to ensure that their views and requirements are captured in the product backlogs of the area.
  • Act as the ambassador for your product area, showcasing the key functionalities to strategic stakeholders, driving product adoption and assuring operational excellence together with Tech peers.
  • Manage relationships outside the product area efficiently to ensure that he product teams can work autonomously.
  1. Backlog Management
  • Drive the evolution of the product area backlog in collaboration with product owners in your area.
  • Influence backlog priorities in the own area in line with strategic direction.
  • Influence roadmaps and backlogs from other areas or domains.
  1. Data Ownership for GOPS Product Data
  • Assume ownership for the conceptual data model of the product area.
  • Drive alignment of strategy and roadmap across all stakeholder groups – closely working with group data management
  • Drive the cleanup of reference data,the prioritization of change to the data model andimplementation of adequate measures ensuring data quality across creation area.
  1. People Management
  • Drive product led transformation in respective area and build the appropriate organizational structure to be able to manage the respective organization effectively
  • Build the appropriate structure to be able to manage the respective organization effectively, identify and develop the future talents and create realistic succession scenarios for key positions.
  • Promote a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations and individual goals
  • Ensure appropriate leadership skills are present at every level by creating a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are coached, trained and provided with career opportunities through development.
  • Provide team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and strategic objectives.

  • Strong e2e Product Creation / Product Development knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Tech products and capabilities
  • Proven level of strategic thinking / Big Picture and leadership through vision and values
  • High business acumenaround data architecture, data modeling and process archtecture
  • Proven experience in the design and leadership of transformation programs and change management projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and facilitation skills especially when interacting with different levels of business
  • Pro- active (engaging & impact-oriented) mindset, ability to think end-to-end
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures
  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
  • Fluent English (verbal and written)
  • Excellent presentation skills

Qualifications

  1. University degree in business administration or a related field
  2. Minimum 10 years of relevant business experience
  3. Min 8 years proven leadership of diverse & global teams and projects in a matrix organization
  4. Cross-functional business experience (e.g. in Marketing, Sales, Operations, Tech) preferred
