Serve as the global category leader for Logistics and Warehousing managing $1.5B in spend.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Define and execute category management strategies for the Logistics and Warehousing category globally, managing ~$1.5 billion USD while collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders and leadership to align category strategies with overall business requirements
- Lead and manage a global team of 12 direct reports and 1 dotted line to implement and execute subcategory strategy globally, as well as delivering on local requirements. Continue to develop and nurture headcount to drive optimum benefits
- Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing, and competitive analysis within the global Logistics category and use this information to guide overall strategies
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts and terms to optimize cost and quality, and drive sustainability and diversity efforts
- Manage the relationship between GE Healthcare (GEHC) and the Global Shippers Association (GSA), working to optimize the direction of the GSA to assist in meeting GEHC’s changing requirements
- Manage the relationships between GEHC and the suppliers, setting expectations and managing performance around costs, quality, on time delivery, and ESG
- Drive high-value deals (i.e., MSAs, top level negotiations) and engagements
- Help establish risk frameworks for a specified category and oversee the risk assessment processes for supplier evaluations and ongoing maintenance
- Monitor and analyze category performance metrics, recommending and implementing improvements
- Develop and manage category budgets and forecasts, working on driving usage where is applicable
- Evaluate and select suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, reliability and risk assurance
- Drive Sourcing efficiencies, cost savings, and AP cash generation within the Logistics category
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business or engineering with minimum of 6 years experience within global Sourcing with Logistics category experience preferred
