Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 12+ years’ experience in software development, payments architecture design and at least two full cycles of payments/cards application implementations- preferably in north America or European region
• Experience in implementing payments solutions tying into multiple platforms and channels based on integration patterns such as API, ESB, Batch File interface etc.
• Experience in building digital payment channels and leading large scale modernization programs, including development of micro services, API Framework, and BIAN APIS
• Ability to assemble a broad set of technologies and services to create a complete solution to a business requirement: application software, middleware, database, hardware, storage (on-prem, hybrid, cloud native), network
• Understanding of solution trade-offs such as cost, scope, timescale, and balance between long-term strategic and short-term pragmatic considerations
• Ability to interpret and refine business requirements using a variety of techniques and methodologies (e.g. interviews, workshops, prototyping etc.).
• Ability to develop high level solutioning and design documents addressing the business, infrastructure, security, support and operational requirements
• Must have a solid understanding of Services-Oriented Architecture and Distributed Architectures
• Strong knowledge around modern communication patterns such as REST & GraphQL
• Experience in designing and building multi-threaded and asynchronous processing systems
• Experience with PCI Compliance and NACHA regulations preferred
• Understanding of the release management and software development lifecycles
• Strong object modelling skills. Experience with XML, schemas, and XML parsers and tools a plus.

Skills and experience

• BE/BTech/BS/MS/MTech candidates with a minimum of 12 years of significant experience in a senior architectural role
• Experience in using at least one recognized architecture framework or standards e.g. TOGAF, Zachman Architecture Framework.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with database design and optimization on platforms such as Oracle, MySQL, Mongo DB.
• Experience of operating within a corporate architecture governance framework and standards
• Ability to determine approaches to solve complex programme level requirements into leading technical teams to delivered the required architecture and design deliverables
