Support the development and execution of strategy for the Chase UK working in conjunction with the Strategy team focused on the broader Strategy & Growth Office (SGO) organization Build strategic alliances and work closely with Chase UK Leadership, serving as a liaison between staff, senior leaders and C-level executives
Add executive bandwidth, serving as a trusted advisor and business partner to Chase UK leadership
Be the go-to person for analyzing ad-hoc strategic requirements, ideas and future initiatives for Chase UK leadership
Connect the dots across all the happenings related to Chase in the UK, drive transparency, and foster open and honest dialogue regarding business performance, project updates, and strategic planning
Facilitate cross-functional decision making and represent Chase UK where needed
Identify industry trends in the evolving financials services industry and surface ideas for new ways of doing business, commercial approaches or product evolution, support engagement with industry participants
Partner across all functional areas to help create market specific strategies and support in monitoring and evaluating the execution and delivery including other strategy efforts within the SGO organization with the SGO Strategy and Partnerships team
Build strategic alliances and work closely with Chase UK Leadership, serving as a liaison between staff, senior leaders and C-level executives
Ensure relevant members of the Chase UK leadership team are prepared for meetings and interactions with external and internal stakeholders (e.g., staff, senior executives, regulators, investors, journalists, and board members), including drafting compelling written materials and providing sharp data analysis and metrics as necessary. Prepare and help with presentation materials for strategic reviews, cross functional syndication and key projects.
Identify and take on responsibility for the successful execution of high priority special projects which are important (and urgent), but not necessarily the responsibility of any one team
Where required, design and implement lightweight processes that move the company forward and keep delivery on time, in budget, and high quality
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Deep familiarity with retail banking across all areas including business models, product mechanics, customer & commercial strategies and others, ideally in the UK or similar market
Extensive experience of solid general management skills – strategy backgrounds from top tier consulting firms, Product, Commercial, BizOps backgrounds, and/or experience having previously run business functions
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ability to surface opportunities, support with data, and build leadership alignment towards a concrete course of action
Strong organizational skills including the ability to juggle multiple deals/opportunities simultaneously
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to build collaborative relationships, adeptly navigate large organizations, and manage key senior stakeholders and functional partners
Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives, with strong programme management skills
Entrepreneurial mindset, balancing the scrappiness of a startup with the process orientation of a large company
A track record of driving outcomes in environments that require consensus building and influence
Ability to think ahead, and see what’s coming by connecting the dots.
