Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to influence the quality and efficiency of pricing processes.
  • Analyze pricing data and market trends to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Oversee team performance and prioritize work to ensure timely completion of pricing initiatives.
  • Develop reports and presentations to communicate pricing strategies and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Explore alternative solutions to pricing challenges and recommend appropriate actions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

Key responsibilities:

  • Increase penetration of BNPL upstream presentment in global merchants (front & backbook)
  • Develop a strong understanding of pricing structures, procedures and processes for our global BNPL products
  • Lead pricing and contra proposals for custom merchant deals
  • Collaborate with sales to recommend tailored pricing packages that drive merchant acquisition and retention
  • Adapt our pricing & contra models as required for new product launches, new financial inputs, new internal guidelines etc.
  • Partner with important stakeholders to assess assumptions, revenue, risk, and margin impacts of model
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and work more efficiently while minimizing any errors in execution

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in BNPL or Consumer Credit Portfolio Management, FP&A, Pricing & Contra Analysis, or related functional experience
  • An ideal candidate should have a quantitative / financial background with a keen understanding of data to drive actions that lead to commercial success. The role will have global scope and assist in merchant deals in all markets where we operate BNPL products.
  • Fast learner with excellent problem-solving skills, especially when faced with ambiguity. Adaptability to changing business objectives and constraints
  • Ability to multitask & work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
  • Biased toward action with excellent time-management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including strengths in influencing, conflict management, and negotiation
  • Advanced skills in building P&L models, scenario planning, and revenue impact assessments
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, Tableau and other BI tools to extract insights and communicate findings
  • Strategic agility and Strong Communication. Adept at articulating pricing possibilities and getting buy-in from leadership & peers
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of PayPal Products and especially Buy Now Pay Later products
  • Experience streamlining reporting processes and improving pricing frameworks for scalability

The US national annual pay range for this role is $84,500 to $140,250
