What You’ll Do
Your focus will center onworkloads and solutions, playing a pivotal role in defining product vision, enabling adoption, and crafting strategies that address complex customer data challenges. You will work cross-functionally to align product strategy with engineering execution, field requirements, and evolving market demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive product strategy and roadmap for Apache Spark-related services within SAP’s broader HANA and data management offerings.
- Translate complex technical concepts, especially around distributed computing, big data processing, and cloud data infrastructure , into product vision and customer value.
- Partner closely with engineering to guide product direction, validate designs, and support feature delivery.
- Engage with customers, solution engineers, and field teams to gather feedback, prioritize use cases, and validate feature needs.
- Monitor adoption and performance of Spark-based solutions and collaborate on programs to maximize usage and impact.
- Support go-to-market teams with product positioning, messaging, demos, and technical enablement.
- Contribute to internal documentation, whitepapers, sample architectures, and customer-facing technical assets.
- Stay ahead of trends in the data ecosystem across Spark, Delta Lake, cloud data lakes, and open-source innovation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in product management, solution management, or a technical customer-facing role.
- Strong knowledge of the Database, Data Management, or Analytics space, with hands-on familiarity with Apache Spark as a primary focus.
- Familiarity with cloud-native platforms and big data tooling across AWS, Azure, or GCP .
- Experience with technologies such as SAP HANA , SAP HANA Cloud , SAP Data Intelligence , SAP Analytics Cloud , or SAP BusinessObjects is a plus.
- Ability to understand and explain distributed systems concepts like partitioning, cluster scaling, and query execution models to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience translating technical vision into business outcomes.
