How you’ll spend your day
  • Conduct and analyze preliminary trademark searches; prepare necessary clearance reports
  • Handle the day-to-day prosecution of domestic and foreign trademark applications, including interface with outside counsel
  • Provide guidance to clients regarding proper use of trademarks
  • Assist in domestic and foreign litigation and enforcement (including opposition and enforcement actions, and the collection and preparation of supporting evidence)
  • Monitor and manage Teva’s domain name portfolio, including registration, acquisitions, transfers, DNS modifications, and renewals
  • Coordinate with Teva’s Cyber Defense Team in support of active domain name enforcement
  • Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and handling other clerical tasks.
  • Interface Teva in-house lawyers and Teva’s external lawyers to collect and process relevant data as well as to monitor and track relevant activities
Your experience and qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Compliance, Accounting or Finance or a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience as a trademark and domain name paralegal, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry or at a law firm with high-level responsibilities on a global trademark portfolio
  • Adept at conducting online trademark searches
  • General knowledge of domestic and foreign trademark and domain name law, policies and processes
  • Familiarity with WebTMS trademark management system a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build trust and credibility
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Techniques to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to think strategically and tackle problems
  • Ability to work successfully and cooperatively with colleagues across multiple cultures and time-zones
  • Substantive experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in the English language is required
