What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers covering optical, sensors, software, mechanical and test domains
  • Define technical vision and set roadmap to establish development priorities that provide the best product to our customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI, design studio, and supply chain to ensure cameras meet specifications
  • Manage project timelines and resources to ensure delivery of our camera systems across multiple projects at factories around the world
  • Foster innovation and development of new technologies into industrialized solutions in an open and collaborative environment
  • Implement quality control and performance standards to maintain high reliability of cameras in dynamic environments
  • Maintain current on trends and industry best practices to ensure Tesla stays at the forefront of camera technology
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams in the camera and/or automotive industry
  • Proven experience in design and development of high-performance camera systems for computer vision applications
  • Strong understanding of optics, sensors, electronics, and mechanical design principles
  • Solid knowledge of computer vision algorithms and how they influence the design of camera hardware
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills to motivate a team to achieve a common goal
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize internal experts, outside module integrators, and meet deadlines
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
  • A passion for innovation and camera technology to push the boundaries of autonomy
