What you’ll do
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for European and American entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP requirements.
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Provide accurate and timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances and foreign currency transactions.
- Support statutory reporting, external audits, and tax filings, liaising with auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, GST, corporate tax, and transfer pricing requirements.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, financial policies, and processes to support compliance and efficiency.
- Identify and support opportunities for system improvements and automation initiatives within finance to enhance efficiency, accuracy and compliance.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
What you’ll need
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 3-5+ years of experience in a financial accounting role.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and local statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience working in an international, multi-entity environment, preferably within Europe & The Americas.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
- Previous experience working with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Proven experience of month end close processes including account reconciliations and posting of journals, preparation of working papers to support balances
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities within tight deadlines and to self-manage your workload in a hybrid home/office environment and culture.
- Good understanding of accrual accounting and general accounting principles
