Regional Clinical Scientist, Image Guided Therapy – Systems (APAC)
Job Description*This role will cover activities in the APAC region
You are responsible for
- Providing feedback and input on the roadmap towards the long-term clinical strategy of the Image Guided Therapies business.
- Engaging and collaborating with clinical experts in several clinical areas (Interventional cardiology, radiology, neuroradiology, oncology, electrophysiology, and surgery).
- Maintaining and developing a regional network of clinical Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s) and jointly driving ideation and feasibility studies on future technologies in line with the business strategy and its stakeholders.
- Keeping abreast of clinical, regulatory, market, (interaction-) design and technical developments in the relevant areas through clinical workflow analysis, Medical Advisory Boards, frequent clinical visits, literature research and conference participation.
- Executing concept and feasibility studies, coordinatinginvestigator-initiatedpost-market clinical studies, and supporting Philips sponsored trials to de-risk and prove scientific merit and clinical value of our technologies. You are using state of the art protocols and study designs, in close collaboration with a team of clinical scientists, trial managers, and marketing on the required proof points resulting in publications and evidence generation.
- Making knowledge available for operational use within Philips to support (regional) marketing efforts and increase market awareness and acceptance of new technology solutions, by demonstrating the added value to clinical outcome and/or workflow efficiency, through transfer of clinical science results to Marketing, Application and Development.
- Preparing and delivering roadmap presentations to current or future customers focused on the clinical and technical components of the value proposition.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- MD and/or PhD degree in biomedical sciences/engineering, or related discipline.
- MS degree holders with demonstrable experience consistent with the position’s responsibilities are encouraged to apply.
- Prior industry experience in a customer-facing role is desired, but not required.
- Proven experience in running or supporting clinical investigations in a hospital setting.
- Familiarity with image guided interventional procedures and innovations (devices or imaging systems) across cardiology, radiology, neuroradiology, and/or surgery.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders (physician investigators, marketing and sales, clinical science, suppliers, and advanced development etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to take a hands-on approach to problem-solving and project management/execution.
- Ability to travel to hospitals within region and attend medical congresses.
