Computing Systems Product Group (CSPG) is a global organization spanning the Development, SQA, TME, Product management and Program management organizations. CSPG is responsible for delivering an innovative end-to end way to configure both rack and blade servers all the way from firmware revisions to I/O connectivity for growing highly complex data centers while enabling IT as a Service (ITaaS).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in some of the latest technologies and trends in Server and Storage areas as the UCS validation team at Cisco, Bangalore. We are looking for applicants who can lead a team of engineers working on both manual and automated test executions of Cisco C-Series Rack Server Storage. A strong hands on experience in DAS validation and a good understanding of SCSI and SAS protocols is a must. Job profile includes preparation of Test plan, Test cases based on requirements, crafts test fixtures and test tools, execute manual and automated test cases, file defects and report results. Uses product performance information and other means to gauge customer usage to the product development teams. Review Customer Found Defects and work with TAC and Critical issues to recreate the defects. Design and Validate Customer use cases. Debugging and solving issues and performing first-level issue triage. Study industry specifications, vendor's hardware documentation and design test cases. Setup and handle iSCSI, FC, FCoE, PXE, GPU test configurations. Execute tests, track and log issues and drive them till resolution with verification of bug fixes. Automation of manual test cases and execution of automated tests as part of regression cycle. Review PRD, SFS, Test plans, User guides and release notes. Chip in to overall test strategies. Participate in innovative Software test initiatives. You will work with a dedicated team and open communications, empowerment, innovation, partnership and customer success are the foundations of the team. You will work closely with multi-functional leads like Product Managers and engineering leads from other groups to help define the product strategy. You will help identify efficient solutions to meet the product strategy. You will be hands on yourself, while you guide others in building the solutions.

• 8 to 15 years of QA experience in Storage domain, especially DAS background.
• Proven understanding of SAS, SCSI and SATA protocols and strong understanding of RAID concepts.
• Proven track record in Automation using python.
• Experience in working end to end product development with cross functional and geographical teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills is required as this role requires working with various stakeholders in challenging environment.
• Experience on working on solutions such as CEPH, VSAN, Windows Storage Spaces etc.
• Good working experience with PCI-E adapters, different types of HDDs, SSDs & Flash drives is helpful.

• Hands-on experience with VMware, Linux and Windows OS Good understanding of Networking Concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Firmware & Driver validation of server hardware(Online ,Offline).
• Project experience in Systems Management / network management domain is added advantage
• Proficient in automation scripting. Experience in Scripting Languages like Python preferred.
