Your key responsibilities
Consulting is a varied and exciting career where no two days are the same. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary depending on the type of work you are engaged in – it could be building a POC for a client, running requirements workshops, supporting UAT or responding to an RFP. Here are the typical responsibilities we would expect you to own:
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and product owners to assess business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions on the Salesforce platform.
- Assist in designing and developing Salesforce solutions across various clouds (e.g. Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud)
- Help translate user stories into practical technical designs, supported by technical architects
- Support design and implementation of integrations via APIs or middleware with third-party systems
- Support data migration analysis and mapping from legacy systems
- Produce and maintain technical documentation (e.g., solution design, process flows, data models)
- Support UAT with business and IT stakeholders
- Troubleshoot bugs or system issues and support defect resolution
- Ensure quality by adhering to governance and standards
- Attend and contribute to agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, demos and retrospectives
- Support senior architects and business analysts in workshops and requirement gathering
- Actively work toward Salesforce certifications (e.g., Experience Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant)
- Stay current on product releases and emerging features in each Salesforce release
- Learn about EY delivery frameworks, agile methodology, and project cycles
- Develop client-centric thinking with a strong focus on business outcomes
- Team collaboration and cross-functional working
- Curiosity and continuous learning (e.g., pursuing certifications)
- Excellent communication skills – translating technical terms into business language and being able to communicate to development and test teams
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Minimum 2 years experience in digital transformation leveraging the Salesforce platform, its ecosystem and other emerging technologies
- Ability to articulate the value of Salesforce as a platform in business to a non-technical audience in a clear and compelling fashion.
- Experience in designing and delivering solutions in the Salesforce ecosystem – including but not limited to core Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing) and ideally industry clouds (Financial Services, Energy & Utility).
- Ability to facilitate requirements gathering workshops with clients to identify pain points and translate functional requirements to technical solutions
- Good understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Capable of prioritising and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment
- Strong technical analysis, problem solving and analytical skills
Ideally, you will also have:
- Prior large-scale Salesforce implementation experience in either consulting or an end user organisation
- Ability to manage tasks and stakeholders
- Developing team leadership and influencing skills
- At least 2 of the following certifications:
- Salesforce Admin
- Salesforce Advanced Admin
- Salesforce Platform App Builder
- Salesforce Developer
- Sales Cloud Consultant
- Service Cloud Consultant
- Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Salesforce Field Service Consultant
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist
