Job Description:

  • Lead sensitive and high-risk investigations that include conducting interviews of witnesses and examining data to identify if employee misconduct and/or breaches of PayPal Policies occurred.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business improvements that mitigate short- and long-term business risks.
  • Adept at understanding opposing points of view on highly complex issues and willingness to integrate different viewpoints while maintaining a high level of integrity, professional judgment, and commitment.
  • Effectively manage a case portfolio with focus on timely conclusion of end-to-end investigations, including clear, concise documentation of investigative findings and timely completion of regulatory filings, as needed.
  • Maintain technical proficiency with several investigative tools and techniques and understand and apply concepts and principles of Open-Source Intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of company products, services, and related data.
  • Engagement with peers, all levels of management, and internal/external stakeholders to deliver comprehensive reviews and investigations of cases.
  • Professional experience within Risk, Compliance, Privacy, and/or Internal Audit preferred.
  • Advanced research and analytical skills such as an ability to assess and analyze large amounts of data with a high attention to detail. Advanced data query and analysis skills such as SQL, Splunk, and BigQuery, etc. preferred.
  • Expert oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills whereby you convey complex information accurately, clearly, and quickly to all levels of management.
  • Problem Solving Skills that include operating independently while managing multiple competing priorities with difficult deadlines and exhibiting a sense of urgency when necessary.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience
