What to ExpectTesla is looking for a highly motivated Controls Technician, with excellent electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills, to contribute to the sustaining of current and newautomation equipment for our Model Y Body Line. These automated assemblylines consist of a several pieces of equipment, each PLC controlled. TeslaMotors is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work on acritical system of incredibly exciting vehicles.
What You’ll Do- Controls Technician will help in development of maintenance technicians to help eliminate future downtime
- Candidate will help maintenance troubleshoot and maintain all controls components such as PLC, safety devices, HMI, servo drives, process hardware and robots
- The Controls Technician will assist in all areas of automated equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
What You’ll Bring- Minimum of 2 years of controls technician experience in a high-volume manufacturing/industrial environment or applicable technical certificate / degree
- Skilled at troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Skilled in SCADA systems such as Ignition and Factory Talk View
- Skilled in PLC Languages such as Allen Bradley controls logix
- Experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable running equipment using internal or 3rd party software, able to decipher logs and troubleshoot equipment
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
