What you'll do:

As Database Administrator you are responsible for:

• Planning, setup, and implementation of homogeneous/heterogeneous OS/DB migration
• DB installations, patching and upgrade.
• Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning of Systems
• Organize / Structure day2day documentation.
• Usage of High availability technology
• Continuous support of SAP systems and problem solving.
• Development of concepts and tools to solve and prevent problems and to increase efficiency.
• Working in international teams and driving global knowledge transfer and best practices
• DB performance optimization on expert level
• Work with new database technologies like “In Memory” Hana or Sybase ASE/SRS/IQ as part of pilot and first implementations inside of SAP
• Willingness to take on call duty.

What we expect from you:

• Database knowledge in one (or more preferably) of the following DB platforms:SAP HANA, Sybase ASE, or MSSQL
• Ability to work in a global distributed team, easily developing good working andrelationship across our organization
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Experience in Support Roles for Incident Management / Problem Management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and work customer orientated.
• Programing skills (Phyton, C++, HTML)

Nice to have:

• 1+ years working in one (or more preferably) of the following DB platforms: SAP HANA, SAP ASE, or MSSQL.
• Technical experience with database solutions within an SAP Environment would be beneficial.
• MSSQL, Sybase ASE and Hana knowledge would be beneficial.
• Work experience in international teams.
