Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+years’ experiencein engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 3+years’ experiencemanaging cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 3+years’ experiencein Atomic Molecular Opticalsystems.
  • 2+years’ experiencein Technical and hands-on background, especially inlaser/opticalengineering, cryogenics, quantum computing,computersystems engineering, materials engineering.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters's Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, or Physics or Materials Science with 2 years of work experience.
  • Experience managing large development programs and cross-functional teams across multiple geographical locations.
  • Experience planning, creating, and managing schedules and budget.
  • Prior experience writing documents and specifications for program deliverables.
  • Experience authoring proposals for technical development programs.
  • Experience with large scale systems engineering.
  • Able to travel (domestic and international).
  • Able to communicate complex issues and trade-offs to development partners and management.
  • Ability to write, speak and present information effectively and persuasively across communication settings.

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation. Responsibilities

a committed and driven Principal Hardware Program Manager to engage with external hardware partners to developQuantum Computing.

In collaboration with the Quantum technical teams, you will drive themanagement of the external hardware partners. Responsibilities include the following: deliverand documentation.You will leaddirect program reviews,own addressing engineering progress,closing theissues, and selecting partners for future contracts.

Additionally, you will partner with the Architecture and Systems team to lead the systems engineeringfor scalability.

In this role you willbe responsible forexternal and internal communication with the external hardware companies.

As part of the global Hardware Program Manager (HW PM) team, you will bethe logical quantum computer program requirements and dependencies with other functional areas of the Quantum organization.

Key Responsibilities include:
