Job summary:
As an Associate in our Innovation Economy team, you will play an integral part to gain, manage and maintain client relationships within the Venture Capital funded Innovation Economy sector. You will manage internal and external aspects of client relationships, including conducting industry and company research, helping with credit analysis, and partnering with product and industry specialists within the Commercial and Investment Bank.
You will support deal teams and country leadership, with accountability for pitchbook preparation, transaction execution, client management and reporting requirements, while ensuring seamless coordination among deal team members, product partners and internal stakeholders.

Job responsibilities
- Work alongside Senior Bankers and Product Partners to execute transactions from initial pitch through to close for both existing and prospective clients
- Prepare marketing materials for use in client meetings covering topics such as payments, financing, industry and peer analysis
- Support Senior Bankers to generate new revenue opportunities from prospects and existing clients. This includes leading on some client outreach and ongoing interaction
- Collaborate with credit underwriting teams on analysis and documentation of credit requests
- Build and use financial models to support financing transactions; and to assist with reporting requirements and data management
- Develop an understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and service offerings, including but not limited to M&A, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, and treasury services
- On-going support with ecosystem events organised by J.P. Morgan or attended by the team
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Fluent in German & English
- Relevant experience in Corporate or Investment Banking, startup or private equity / venture capital ecosystem
- Highly motivated team player with outstanding communication and project management skills. Partnership skills are essential as work will often overlap with internal and external stakeholders
- Structured, detail-oriented, reliable and proactive
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
- Proficient analytical, and modelling skills
- Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
- Excel and Power Point skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Fluent in French, Italian or Spanish a plus
