Take part in the full software development life cycle including architecture, design, development, test, continuous delivery of embedded controller firmware for Dell client products
Lead next generation firmware architecture design, ensuring it is modular, portable, resilient, and secure on ARM based embedded controller
Lead firmware development as an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery
Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes
Essential Requirements
12+ years ofrelevant experience in the architecture,design and development of embedded firmwarewith a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
Knowledge or relevant deployment experience of the PC ecosystem with a focus on silicon initialization, memory initialization, eSPI communication, power control and power delivery, thermal management, sensor solutions, USB devices, NPU, and network protocols.
Experience with multiple programming languages; real-time operating systems such as RTOS, Zephyr, Embedded Linux; device drivers; databases; system, network; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities.Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications
Experience with the security development life cycle,including technical understanding of common security vulnerabilities and risks, and countermeasures
Fluent in utilization of sourcecode analysis tools such as Fortify, Coverity, Clang, and AI assistant tools for development.Ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
