What you’ll do:
- Position title: STAR (Student Training and Rotation) Program Intern (VT/STAR) – Auckland - Developer
- Location: Auckland, New Zealand
- Expected start date and duration: End of January 2025 for minimum 24 months duration.
- The SAP NZ development team works on core PLM topics to empower people to be more productive with next-generation of AI based visual cloud applications. Connect 3D CAD data with ERP and master data, from design to operate and service, to deliver a digital twin. Roles could include working as a Developer or test Automation Specialist
- As a developer , you will participate in design and developing apps and cloud services using the SAP Business Technology Platform. Learning writing, testing, and maintaining code, with responsibilities spanning various aspects of software development and operations support.
- As a test automation specialist , you will participate in design, developing, and running automated software tests. Identify failures to meet quality standards through testing, assessing issue severity and escalating as appropriate. Develop a sound business understanding ensuring tests are defined and developed, with close alignment to the business use of the system.

Our STAR Program Developer candidates will be:
- Preferably studying Degree(s) IT or Computer Science/ Engineering-related major/second degree although other academic backgrounds will be considered.
- Have at least 24 months remaining in their studies from their start date (targeted earliest graduation date by end of 2026)
- Willing and able to work at least 2 days per week during semester.
- Problem-solvers who are ambitious, passionate, resilient, proactive, open-minded, and able to manage pressure.
- Are good listeners, empathetic, collaborative and team oriented.
