• Lead and mentor a small team of mechanical, electronics, and firmware engineers
• Act as a working manager, contributing technical design in your core discipline
• Collaborate with customers to align technical solutions to their value propositions
• Support motion system prototyping including motors, PCBs, and control algorithms
• Provide expert guidance on product architecture, manufacturing, and scalability
• Develop and analyze cost models for internal products and competitor benchmarking
• Monitor patent landscapes and recommend innovative, patentable product ideas
• Communicate complex concepts clearly across internal and external stakeholders
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and mentor junior engineers
• Ensure alignment between product design and customer requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of engineering experience to include 2+ years of management experience (or 7+ years with graduate degree to include 2+ years of management experience)

• Experience in leading cross functional engineering teams
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) with strong global communication skills, high energy, positive, collaborative
• Deep knowledge in your engineering discipline; broad proficiency across others
• Hands-on experience with motion system design which may include motors and gears, etc., and system-level architecture
• Expert in relevant software for your discipline (CAD, simulation, etc.)
• Proven success leading design teams and solving complex technical problems

• Experience working in early product development and prototyping, innovation experience

• Background in cost modeling, patent development, and customer-facing engineering
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and scalability strategies
• High-level business acumen and financial insight
• Ability to inspire teams and advocate for bold, innovative engineering solutions
