What you’ll do

As a performance enthusiast at our company, you will lead a wide range of performance activities, including developing performance test frameworks, testing for scalability, and analyzing the performance of our Commerce products. Your work will directly influence how customers perceive the performance of our products by creating benchmarks and sizing guides. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work closely with customers, analyze their performance issues, and use their feedback to drive product improvements

Role and tasks:

· Establish a performance framework and drive the initiatives that follow

· Formulate and promote best practices standards for performance excellence

· Develop and maintain the performance test harness

· Integrate performance testing into a CI/CD approach

· Set-up and maintain automated test pipelines

· Track and relay performance outcomes

· Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend tuning strategies

· Collaborate with development teams to assess performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement optimization solutions

· Work with customers and partner to analyze their performance requirements

· Maintain a network within and outside SAP to understand how to best improve the team’s activities in the long run

What you bring:

· Genuine interest in performance related topics

· Proficiency in back-end development with an emphasis on optimizing performance for Java and SQL (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent)

· Expertise in software performance testing for cloud applications utilizing JMeter or Gatling, Grafana, Dynatrace, LoadRunner

· Strong know-how in CI/CD with proven ability to design and implement integration and delivery pipelines using Jenkins or similar

· Familiarity of cloud application development (REST API, operation systems, pipeline automation)

· Experience in working directly with customers and partners

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

· Good verbal and written English

· Enthusiasm about discovering and getting to grips with novel technologies and frameworks
