The Strategic Ledger Program has been established under the wider Citi Finance Transformation. The program strategy is to adopt and implement global standard Oracle SaaS/Cloud based accounting and ledger platform (the “strategic ledger”). The outcome will be a robust global process, governance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results.
This is a C12 position in Citi.
The scope of the program includes:
- Centralize and standardize accounting into global accounting hubs and sub-ledgers
- Implement a standard sub ledger and general ledger for the firm
- Replace Citi’s current Operating and Reporting ledgers, including those embedded in bank-in-a-box platforms such as Flexcube
- Automate and streamline accounting and ledger processes and controls
- Address source data quality issues impacting ledgers in partnership with enterprise-wide data priorities
- Align contractual and instrument level balances and positions with financial balances
Key responsibilities in the role:
- Complete analysis across multiple workstreams to identify and align scope/design considerations (e.g., Data sourcing, financial processes, financial reporting, regulatory reporting)
- Prepare data for and participate in workshops with Business and Technology stakeholders
- Draft requirements, and review with multiple stakeholders (e.g., Business and Finance Teams, Controllers, Technology)
- Build relationships with workstream leads, PMO team, and business stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills:
- 6+ years of relevant work experience with global corporations and financial services experience gained in Banking or in an associated consulting role
- Ability to process big data set and perform data analysis i.e. adjustments files, ref data files, etc.
- Proficiency on Excel and other data handling softwares
- A self-starter, able to operate independently
- Strong written/verbal communications skills; must be concise, articulate, and persuasive with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions and the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating to deliver change in fast-paced project environments
- Ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels in an organisation
- Problem solving and creative thinking, with a strong attention to detail
- Growth mindset, seeking and implementing feedback and maintaining flexibility to pivot and course correct as needed
- Knowledge of Oracle, SAP or similar ledger platforms desired e.g. Full Suite, Peoplesoft
