What You Need to Know About the Role


Job Description:

Your way to impact:

  • Partner with engineering teams to enhance automation, scalability, and integration of forecasting models into planning systems.
  • Implement best practices in feature engineering, hyper-parameter tuning, and external variable integration to improve forecast stability.

Your Day-to-Day:

In your day to day, you will -

  • Work with large, complex datasets to drive insights and improve forecasting accuracy for financial planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Employ advanced analytical and statistical techniques to identify key business trends from multiple perspectives and package the insights into easily consumable presentations
  • Engage in problem solving with Product, Finance, Marketing, and various other teams to determine performance trends and root causes.
  • Develop and present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to Finance, Strategy, and Data Science leadership.
  • Partner with engineering teams to enhance automation, scalability, and integration of forecasting models into planning systems.
  • Implement best practices in feature engineering, hyper-parameter tuning, and external variable integration to improve forecast stability.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation by experimenting with new modeling techniques and AI-driven forecasting approaches.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in predictive analytics, ML-driven automation, and data science best practices to enhance forecasting frameworks.

What do you need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (math, statistics, computer science, or similar STEM fields), advanced degrees a plus
  • 3-6 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
  • Expertise in Python or R for d ata modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
  • Strong SQL skills (preferably BigQuery ) and experience working with large-scale relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Deep understanding of time-series forecasting, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) for scalable analytics.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.).
  • Must be an intuitive, organized analytical thinker, exceptional problem solver with the ability to perform detailed analysis
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills a must including the ability to explain and/or present analysis
  • Must have good business judgment with demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Ability to work with leadership & stakeholders to define project scope and direction, driving large pieces of the work independently
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to collaborate effectively with teams across multiple time zones
