We are looking for smart, talented software engineers who want to get hands on experience with fully automated hyperscale data center networks, cloud infrastructure, large-scale software deployments, algorithms, distributed systems and service-oriented architectures (SOA). This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and new Software Development Engineers wanting to solve some of the hard problems associated with config generation, modeling and storage at an extreme scale. No prior Networking experience required. In fact, we are looking for members with strong software services background to spearhead development of highly reliable scalable services.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. - Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
