The Regional Environmental Engineer must have excellent communication skills, strong environmental regulatory knowledge, demonstrated success in program development and project management of complex and technical projects.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Lead change in multiple site environments influencing those that are not direct reports or within your organization.
Develop regional strategic programs by integrating with operators, engineering, construction, and operations - drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.Develop environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance.
Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits to drive continuous improvement.
Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently.
Submit time critical reports to various governmental agencies.
Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective actions.About the team

Bachelor’s Degree in environmental engineering, geology, geography, biology, chemistry or related field of study with 5+ years of experience serving as an environmental technical resource, environmental manager, program specialist, or program manager
Experience in Environmental compliance and permitting, Waste Management, contractual, regulatory, and liability assessments, environmental permit evaluations and applications, EIA’s and water discharge requirements
Broad knowledge of regional environmental regulations and programs, successfully implementing environmental systems
Project management skills with proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
