We’re looking for a team player with the desire to be an active contributor to the continued success and improvement of our accounting teams and the organization overall. Reporting to the Corporate Director, you will provide expertise and guidance to our Global financial teams for our General Ledger and related functions, including procedure, policy, risk, controls, reconciliation, and review. You will also perform special projects and help drive consistency of processes and improvements.
In this role, you’ll interact with a number of other locations and functions, offering you excellent opportunities to grow and learn. Your system knowledge and accounting skills will help contribute to the success of the company, helping you to ensure all duties performed and reviewed are in compliance with internal and external requirements, and are in the spirit of our Jacobs Values.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight and ongoing development of technical accounting requirements for our global accounting activities, including procedures, policy, risk, controls, reconciliation and review, and continuous improvement processes.
- Ongoing support and cooperation with GL Compliance team to achieve our corporate, team, and individual goals.
- Reading, understanding, following, and testing the applicable Jacobs process narratives pertaining to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Providing support as needed to internal and external auditors.
- Preparing ad hoc reports and analyses.
