Required Qualifications:

• Doctorate in relevant field
  • OR equivalent experience
• Hands on experience on pre- and post-training of LLMs including but not limited to RL fine-tuning

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications:

• Doctorate in relevant field AND 2+ years related-research experience in building LLMs
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience with LLMs in natural language, AI for security, or related fields
• Experience in productizing AI and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor in the field of AI
• Teamwork and collaboration skills

• Design, develop, and run advanced AI/ML experiments, models, and systems.
• Initiate and advance research to advance state-of-the-art in AI for Security
• Facilitate deployment of advanced AI solutions by designing and implementing infrastructure components
• Collaborate across disciplines with product teams across Microsoft
• Stay up to date with the research literature and product advances in AI for Security
