What you`ll do

As a User Experience Design Expert, you will lead a team of two to five designers and collaborate closely with your design peers and leaders, our product managers, and our engineering leaders. You’ll ensure a cohesive user experience for your dedicated area of the product by:

• Proactively planning and running user research activities with our team of research experts and our partners in product management.
• Planning, tracking and creating interaction design specifications for your area of responsibility.
• Aligning with and influencing the SAP design system, our development processes and standards, as well as sharing your work to common UI libraries.
• Sharing your expertise and helping to improve our processes.
• Fostering an open, productive, and sustainable team culture within UX design and with stakeholders.
• Nurturing communication and collaboration across functions and products.

You will be working with UX designers, product managers and engineers located in Walldorf and across multiple time zones around the world.

What you bring

• Accomplished professional with 10+ years of experience, some in senior-level design positions
• Set strategy and drive positive outcomes with the business, product, and design teams
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, including user research
• Experience building and/or leading engaged and high-performing design teams or projects
• Project management skills that allow you to manage a team’s workload and maintain a good backlog; knowledge of Jira is a plus
• Good communication skills in English (both spoken and written); German is a plus
• Domain expertise in enterprise products is a plus
