Job Description

The Finance Deployment Senior Specialist is ultimately accountable to deploy global systems, tools and procedures in support of finance processes related to finance. As well to maintains required documentation and work instructions to deliver consistent installations.

Position Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Deploy finance solutions according to defined company procedures and accounting principles (USGAAP) as well as local legislation.
  • Verify inputs of the new entity information and perform internal reconciliation of accounts and balances.
  • Identify unusual or erroneous system and data items and coordinate corrective actions with IT and/or Local Market.
  • Assist and provide training and knowledge transfer of new processes to markets in scope.
  • Identifying opportunities and defining requirements for system enhancements, partner with IT organization to ensure successful testing, deliver and ensure successful deployment through change management and communications.
  • Ensure financial controls are delivered as an integrated part of the installed solutions.
  • Develop additional Finance skills as part of the permanent improvement process – collaborate closely with other Workstreams as (StS, OtC, AtR, FP&A, Master Data and CoEs, e.g. Tax, COSI, Treasury)
  • Work efficiently in a multicultural environment throughout the installation cycle of the project, includes (scope definition, baseline workshops, change impacts, gap analysis, data review, user training, cut-over activities, hyper care support after a go live)
  • Record all activities/issues in JIRA / another PMO tool, for tracking purposes.
  • Effective communication with relevant stakeholder groups.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated work relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 year in pharmaceutical industry desired.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Deep understanding of Project Management.
  • AtR and or StS experience is preferred
  • Continuous improvement mindset and proven track record of experience in improvement projects related to FIN area is required
  • Consulting background desired
  • Strong knowledge of financial information, processes and systems in manufacturing and commercial environments.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style.
  • Understand the System Life Cycle (SLC) methodology.
  • Experience supporting change initiatives.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required.

Technical Skills Requirements

  • SAP experience required.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with advanced process improvement methods desired
  • Experience leading and coordinating projects.
  • JIRA knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication.
  • Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty.

Physical Position Requirements

  • Business Travel may be required.
