Overview of the Role:
The Sr Director, Product Management position reports to the SVP, Product Management. This role will be based in our Durham, NC office, and will likely require some travel.
About the Role:
You will take primary ownership of developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to unlock the potential of our 1st party data by overseeing our identity solution and enriching it with third-party data to build out and activate a Digital Turbine DMP. You will be responsible for driving standardization, governance and access for data across all products, including enabling self-service access to data for all employees to monitor product health and enable product optimization. You will have ownership of the on-device core platform teams. Enable support for our programmatic advertising products through core capabilities that enhance customer-facing experiences, data capture, and experimentation frameworks for targeted ad delivery.
In this role you will:
Lead a team of 10+ dynamic product managers to establish and execute a shared roadmap and vision.
Build consensus on strategic priorities and drive the ongoing development of existing products, as well as identify opportunities and integrate new trends in ad tech, data, and identity solutions – including vendor selection and optimization strategies.
Partner with internal and external data consumers who want to use advanced AI and ML tools and gather their data products requirements; document requirements for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data within the product, and coordinate resources to deliver data quality requirements.
Define and execute Data strategy, Data Governance, and Roadmap to achieve business objectives, including the processes, KPI’s, frameworks, governance, tools, and technologies required to scale.
About You:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in progressively responsible positions in mobile/on-device software and data product management, technically grounded but with a highly developed commercial mindset.
Proven track record designing, shaping, and bringing successful enterprise software products to market. Specifically, expertise building/launching successful B2B/B2B2C products/suites, particularly with mobile carriers and/or OEMs in the Android ecosystem.
Must have managed products as a ‘business owner’ owning both go to market strategies and solution requirements definition.
Experience in driving the growth of a product/portfolio on a global basis is desired.
Experience working in a technical environment with a broad, cross functional team to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones.
Well-developed product management skills, from requirements gathering through documentation to release; good intuition for the right balance between necessary process and agility of execution.
Experience working on software requirements for an interdependent suite of products is strongly desired.
Exceptionally prioritization and communication skills (these are essential requirements for success in this role).
Bachelor-level degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Management (Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Technology Management is a plus)
Participation in industry or Product Management groups a plus
$212,000 - $318,000 a year
Compensation package will also include annual bonus and RSU equity
