Operates and maintains waste systemsliquid industrial wastewater systems (LIWS)systems including reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange, ultrafiltration, wastewater, and heat exchangers. Serves as aanalysis/sampling subject matter expert and technical expert to facilities systems engineers and operators. Provides expert interpretation of analytical instruments to determine quality and health of water including ion chromatography, differential microbial analysis (DMA), and particles size and count.laboratories and technicians, ensures calibration of equipment is up to date. Works and coordinates with wastewater utility partners and thirdparty analytical laboratories to sample, ship, and obtain results of collected samples. Prepares technical reports to present to a wide array of audiences both technical and nontechnical about the initiatives and performance of the water treatment division. Manages sampling and analysis budget and optimizes for cost savings and avoidance opportunities. Implements novel analysis and new methods to improve result accuracy, turnaround times, and cost and writes and reviews standard operating procedures relating to water sampling and analysis.
*This is a temporary position for up to 36 months
You should possess a Bachelor degree in Chemistry Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Water Engineering or equivalent.
Additional qualifications include:
Experience with waste treatment / process systems - more than 3 years
Experience in pumps, mechanical systems and pipes - an advantage
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Hebrew
Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player
Good presentation skills
Ability to solve relatively complicated problems.
Ability to work on diverse tasks under a lot of pressure
