You will also have the unique opportunity to experience Cisco matters through a rotation with an outside law firm, broadening your perspective and enhancing your legal acumen. Throughout your rotations, you will be supported by mentors and colleagues who are committed to your professional growth and development.
During the rotationof the program, LEAP participants will:
- Rotate through four distinct legal experiences – each approximately six months in duration – including rotations supporting the Sales and Product teams
- Work on an array of groundbreaking legal issues and technology trends across several business functions and experience Cisco matters through a rotation with an outside law firm
- Drive projects designed to improve the department’s ability to carry out our mission as a multidisciplinary team providing legal solutions and strategies that help Cisco create and deliver innovative technologies to our customers around the world. Grow practical legal and business experience that will better equip you for today’s dynamic legal environment
- Research, present, and apply legal considerations directlyimpactingthe business
- Attend andparticipatein week-long intensive training sessions every six months, focused on drafting,negotiation
- Practical mindset and ability to balance risk
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and handle several simultaneous projects for multiple business functions with competing deadlines
- Growth mindset with a commitment to lifelong learning
- Highly collaborative and motivated when working with colleagues to solve collective challenges
- Juris Doctorate and excellent academic credentials
- State Bar member in good standing and eligible to practice
- Able to legally live and work in the country for which you are applying, without visa support or sponsorship
