Job responsibilities

• Innovate, Design, develop and maintain automation strategies for production workflows and simplify the support experience for the application support teams.
• Build, test, document and deploy software solutions using state of the art proprietary technology from JPMorgan Chase and open-source technology.
• Plan, manage and optimize the production related infrastructure (Linux hosts, Distributed computing/AWS, MQ, Databases, Networks) including capacity and resiliency management.
• Debug production issues by digging into the application code and software development / programming for any high-level language.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, computer Science or equivalent
• 7+ years of working experience and mid-level proficiency in software development using Python
• 7+ years of working experience with public cloud platforms (e.g. AWS), infrastructure provisioning, software configuration and implementation.
• Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills with working knowledge of Linux (or similar) infrastructure.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a global team.
• Self-starter and willing to work in a dynamic environment with constantly evolving priorities.
• Experience in building out observability to continuously understand the health of systems, using OpenTelemetry and tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Cloudwatch and Splunk.
• Ability to analyzing complex systems – failure analysis / root cause analysis, developing, improving, and maintaining technical engineering documentation.
