Job responsibilities
- Proactively represent CTIM with Senior Management, internal LOB customers, internal and external supplier groups, internal peer groups
- Manage pipeline of projects and ensure delivery
- Identify and implement improvements within project space
- Prioritize and manage your matrix team to include people and workload management
- Assist in defining client requirements and project specifications
- Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary
- Monitor financial delivery and issue management processes, escalating issues and variances to budgets where necessary
- Provide guidance on criticality and priority of workload
- Promote effective teamwork and manage the resolution of interpersonal issues
- Regularly review performance of team to ensure business requirements and project rigor are being met
- Carry project workload when necessary in addition to management duties
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Technical Project Manager concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Ensure risk management strategies are followed and reviewed within guidelines and identify and secure resources across CTIM and CT SRE groups, and IP(GTI) teams
- Acts as the communications conduit to executive sponsor & project stakeholders; conducts regularly scheduled briefings/status updates
- Serve as single point of contact for Service Delivery issues / questions / escalations and ensure all required data for making portfolio decisions is complete and available for decision-making, collaborating with CTIM, Application Development or partnering entities to do so.
- Create an environment that breeds trust and collaboration with others. Exhibit a strategic business focus with a customer-focused perspective.
- Recognize areas for internal improvement and developing plans for implementing them. Substantial IT experience, or relevant business or team leadership.
- Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.)
- Extensive experience in managing projects through all phases of the life cycle and expert working knowledge of an industry recognized Project Management methodology. Understanding of infrastructure or application support and development functions
- Experience of Tech and Operations relationship management. and in Scrum Agile Project Management that can take our teams to the next level in adoption of Agile, Scrum and Kanban practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of banking regulatory, compliance, risk and security aspect and Permit to Build and Permit to Operate.
- Proven experience keeping projects on time and within budget. and ability to present metrics to key stakeholders.
- Experience in working with Outside Service Providers and strong familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the JPMC community
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- PMP, MSP, Six Sigma, or other formal project management discipline preferred; familiarity with SDLC and Agile delivery practices beneficial
- Strong technical capability
- Experience in infrastructure projects e.g. Wide Area Networking, Cloud, Networking, Storage SAN, NAS, Server deployments, Data Centers, virtualization.
