Your Role and Responsibilities

As Solution Sales professional your will be lead:

  • Developing new customers and creating new business opportunities in the public sector in Japan
  • Propose best practices to solve customers’ issues regardless of IBM solutions and drive business to closure.
  • Collaborate with other proposal members and delivery members to promote proposals.

Specific clients in Japan: Central government ministries and agencies, independent administrative agencies, local governments, etc.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in working as a first-person salesperson to solve customer issues (government experience is not required).
  • The goal is not to sell products, but to sell value, and the candidate must be willing to conduct such activities.
  • Communication skills (collaboration, active listening)
  • Advanced-level business Japanese (speaking, reading, writing) essential to perform role


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Ability to create rough sketch PowerPoints
  • Experience in proposal preparation.
