This Role is a “Controlled Function” Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011, and amending Regulations 2014, 2015.
CEP is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland and as a significant European financial institution, is supervised under the Single Supervisory Mechanism by the European Central Bank (“ECB”).
What you’ll do
- Accountability for daily monitoring and quarterly regulatory reporting for CEP and specifically COREP, Large Exposure and Related Party Lending .
- Manage delivery and completion of key regulatory projects and initiatives, which include ICAAP and Pillar 3 Disclosures
- Partner with Risk on regulatory stress testing initiatives, including capital impact (e.g. EBA/ECB Stress Test);
- Support the CEP businesses regarding new product initiatives, providing capital analysis and clearly articulating any capital and/or operational constraints/restrictions
- Provide key updates on regulatory matters at various CEP Governance fora (e.g. ExCo, Audit Committee, Board Risk Committee Board, and various SteerCo);
- Management of ad-hoc regulatory requirements as they arise in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensuring that the control framework which supports regulatory deliverables, is standardised and robust.
- Contributes to the continuous strengthening of the control environment to support the business in efforts to grow responsibly.
- Manages the relationship with outsource providers e.g. CSC ensuring appropriate governance and oversight.
- Leading and developing the team – leveraging and encouraging diverse perspectives and individuals.
- Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy.
- Applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
What we’ll need from you
- Strong Finance professional, with experience in a Finance leadership role across complex highly regulated entities.
- Successful track record in ensuring high quality regulatory deliverables with in depth knowledge of key regulations impacting Finance.
- Experience in the implementation of complex regulatory projects.
- Ability to work across functional areas.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
