You will be part of a new team in MN RAN R&D BB&SoC Unit responsible for developing assigned piece of SW to meet the expected Definition of Done for Cloud RAN applications. We are looking for a seasoned and skilled technical leader. You would be working with specifying, designing, implementing and testing software. You also support our program planning and agile activities in the team. You are also expected to participate and be involved in other technical areas such as open-source community in the whole BBSoC RCP Platform product suite. As a technical leader, you are also able to coach others and give e.g., training when needed.

BBSoC RCP Platform is responsible for:

• Innovating, developing, productizing, delivering & maintaining the best Radio Cloud O-RAN and Cloud RAN products to achieve a clear leadership position in Radio Cloud Platforms and Applications
• Successful execution of Cloud RAN Programs
• Leverage open-source communities like OPNFV, O-RAN, OCP to achieve technology leadership
• Achieve Business targets for Cloud RAN HW and SW products

As a Technical Leader in new RCP team, your role would include:

• Leading the implementation of the features and ensuring successful integration of software components within own domain based on product backlogs and specifications
• System design and architecture
• Planning and organizing the work as part of global SW development teams
• Creating and maintaining the platform, DevOps, enabling continuous integration
• Testing (unit, component, and integration)
• Knowledge of industry standard Quality Assurance best practices for testing methodologies
• Leads internal improvement projects, initiatives and task forces
• Leads in planning, designing of test area coverage
• Customer case reproduction and investigation
• Drive Quality improvement actions
• Assessing software quality and developing test tools to increase test effectiveness and efficiency
• Interface adaptation, testing and troubleshooting tool development (python), build time optimization, maintaining good SW practices
• Proposing and leading internal improvement projects, initiatives and task forces if needed
• Contributing to the evolution of internal processes with target for continuous efficiency increase of development teams
• Feature implementation (C and/or C++ and/or Golang)
• Code optimization
• Test optimization

• You have 5+ years of experience in SW development/Testing
• You have demonstrated industry experience in the areas of software development
• You understand the significance of good SW practices for high-quality SW
• You know the benefits of agile SW development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices
• You have strong experience in C++, Golang, Python: development and testing
• Experience with LINUX - Experience in scripting/coding with one or more languages (such as Python, Golang,…)
• Knowledge of processor architectures, embedded systems, and real-time systems
• Understanding of the cloud runtime environments and bare metal runtime environments of embedded systems
• Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) cloud-native characteristics, including Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure software (such as RedHat, AWS, AZURE, GCP, ...)
• Experience in wireless protocols, especially LTE and NR
• Experience of open-source software
