What you will accomplish:

• Design, develop, and support data processing pipelines which meet functional requirements, minimize technical debt, and adhere to organizational standards

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate business objectives into actionable technical requirements

• Design, implement, and maintain data models to support the reporting and analytics needs of the business

• Design, develop, and optimize queries to support data discovery, analysis, and reporting.

• Conduct thorough discovery to identify and address data quality issues, ensuring the data is accurate, complete, accessible for business needs, and properly secured

• Identify and implement performance improvements in data warehousing systems, reducing query times and optimizing resource usage

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience

• 8 years or more experience in designing and implementing data models and data pipelines which are scalable, reliable, and efficient

• Strong skillsets for both data modeling and query design for Snowflake coupled with significant experience in one or more other database technologies, PostgreSQL and MongoDB strongly preferred

• At least moderate experience with dbt or similar tools

• At least moderate experience with implementing and supporting data governance within medium-to-large organizations

• Ability to utilize written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively both within the team and with other teams in the organization
