As a Product Controller Associate within our Finance team, you will be tasked with defining, refining, and delivering specific objectives for our organization. You will play a crucial role in the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Finance & Business Management function, where your responsibilities will include providing business advisory and accounting support, overseeing controls, and ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements. As a key member of the Credit Portfolio Group Lending Product Control team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a unique business line. Your role will involve managing and improving daily processes that the trading desk and market risk coverage teams depend on, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure precision in all relevant controls and reports. This position offers numerous opportunities to learn about financial markets, including gaining knowledge on the comprehensive risk management of Traditional Credit Products through various hedging strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work on Production, preparation and reporting of the daily P&L and Risk
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to the trading desk, business managers, and controller management.
  • Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives
  • Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Serve as an analytical and project support resource for all stakeholders
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 3 years within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area
  • Strong technical skills in using Excel and Alteryx
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous P&L or risk experience is preferable
  • Solid understanding of financial products and markets would be advantageous
