Application Architect, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US: Propose the right solutions with proper estimates based on functional and technical knowledge. Analyze and design technology approaches and develop architectures and technology solutions for development team. Research, assess, analyze and recommend customer enterprise architecture standards and ensure their use. Develop applications to support data capturing, processing and archive. Enhance the existing clients processes to provide flexibility to serve their customers by managing their assets. Perform application management, groundwork development for new projects. Validate the technical feasibility of software and hardware solutions to meet the client’s needs and service level agreements. Perform disaster recovery, deployment, security and performance. Review and improve other applications designs to reduce response time in generating multiple reports. Design, develop and manage several standalone and multi-tier applications for client usage in the Financial Industry. Provide support to the inhouse, web and custom applications. Utilize IBM FileNet P8 suite of products, Amazon Web Services, Cloud Computing Services, OpenShift Container Platform, Java, and Application Consulting. Required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Masters degree) and one (1) year of experience as an Application Architect, Technical Lead or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing IBM FileNet P8 suite of products, Amazon Web Services, Cloud Computing Services, OpenShift Container Platform, Java, and Application Consulting. $169,229.00 per year.
