As an Analyst/Associate in the Thailand Cash Equity Sales team, you will work in a dynamic and busy trading floor environment. Your role will be pivotal in stockbroking, where you will develop and maintain key institutional investor client relationships. You will play a central role in distributing J.P. Morgan’s Thailand and global equity product, providing an opportunity to work in a global and diverse environment.
Job responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains key institutional investor client relationships, playing a central role in distributing JP Morgan’s Thailand and global equity product.
- Assists the team in Thailand and Regionally in equity sales related job responsibilities.
- Demonstrates good understanding of the equities product and be able to market the product effectively among a broad range of clients (such as asset managers, insurance accounts, pension funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, corporations, hedge funds etc.).
- Generates trade ideas and share market insights.
- Demonstrates proficiency in writing and speaking on the markets / stocks.
- Develops a collaborative approach with business partners across trading, research, syndicate, investor access and others to provide comprehensive client coverage, delivering the whole firm in order to maximise the client experience.
- Demonstrates proficiency in identifying market drivers while showing a high degree of interest in learning about other products in order to develop cross-product skill sets.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience – ideally in equities sell/buyside or corporate finance / capital markets.
- A strong command of English and Thai language is required – in order to be able to interact with domestic and foreign investors.
- Possesses strong intellectual curiosity, a high degree of organization and attention to detail, and the ability to perform well under high pressure situations with the appropriate degree of urgency.
- Strong understanding of fundamental analysis
- Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative abilities
- Strong team player that is detail oriented with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control
- Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and self-manage priorities
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal partners and clients
- Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
