Reporting to the India Legal Entity Risk team lead, you will be primarily supporting the India CRO in further development and Implementation of the entity’s risk governance structure that enables effective execution of the legal entity risk management framework. This will include collaborating with risk functions (E.g., Market, Credit, Liquidity and Operational risk) and developing a good understanding and oversight of the entity’s risk profile and emerging risk themes. You will also build meaningful partnerships with key functional stakeholders at different levels within the Firm.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Implementation of an effective risk governance structure for the entity.
  • Perform secretariat function for the India Risk Committee.
  • Prepare risk governance related materials for local governance committees (e.g., Management Committee).
  • Proactive engagement on regulatory deliverables, examinations and requests pertaining to risk governance and cross risk stripes.
  • Partner with key functional partners to assess and meet applicable regulatory changes impacting Risk including emerging risk themes (E.g., Climate Risk, Data Governance).
  • Ascertain adherence to internal risk policies/procedures and external risk related regulations. This includes maintenance and oversight of LE risk governance documents (E.g., Entity’s risk appetite framework, Risk Committee charter).
  • Participate in projects / initiatives impacting Risk Management.
  • Contribute to resolution and escalation of risk oversight issues.
  • Coverage of other APAC legal entities where required.

Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of professional experience related to financial services, particularly within risk management, compliance, finance, or control management.
  • Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management and able to foster productive relationships.
  • Intellectual curiosity and able to demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.
  • Good degree of initiative, self-direction and level-headed.

Additional Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Familiarity with laws and regulations on financial services industry in India
