Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Analysis team is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting, and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g., dashboards), and advising the line of business Chief Financial Officer on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.
- Managing annual/continual financial planning activities for product areas, providing business rational and decisions for all month-end financial performance and forecasting, conducting reviews and analysis on product financial performance, consumption/demand planning, budgeting, billing, trends, and exception reports
- Develop recommendations effecting business procedures and operations and maintain financial and reporting systems.
- Efficiency reporting, analytics, and strategy - including, but not limited to - location strategy, span of control, reporting and analytics
- Creating financial business cases supporting business initiatives
- Reporting on and monitoring key metrics, driving data quality initiatives across the product area, and helping define future needs of the product area
- Developing and tracking performance metrics, creating presentations, and generally providing financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management
- Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
- Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
- Prepare insightful, high quality Senior Management presentations
- Prepare analytical insights by partner reports
- Prepare Customer Penetration Metrics
- Support ad hoc requests from the Business and Senior Management
- Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reports as required
- Knowledge of Essbase, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic Analysis, Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP), etc. is added advantage
- Ensure that reports are insightful and contain commentary on key movements and watch items
Skills / Competencies Needed/Education Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant/ CFA/ MBA (Finance) (or similar educational background) with 12+ years of post-qualification experience
- Background in Data Science a strong plus. Experience in SQL/SAS/Python/Tableau a plus
- Strong financial analytical skills – Fusion of Finance and Data Capabilities
- Strong Team Management Skills – With experience in managing Associate level population
- Experience in banking industry preferred
- Excellent communication and partnering skills
- Ability to multi-task and work autonomously within team environment
- Ability to research issues/problems and provide a 'solution-based' approach
- Adaptable to change and ambiguity in the work environment
- Expert knowledge of Excel (i.e. use of pivot tables, macros, arrays, etc), Microsoft Access
- Knowledge of Essbase
- Inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent, and capable of challenging status quo
- Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
