Job Description

• Responsible for the productionplanning/co-ordination,shop scheduling and dispatching
• Support daily material/production planning based on customers’ orders
• Plan for production which includes releasing of work orders and ensuring on-time delivery of shipments based on customer requirements
• Optimize loading capacity and monitor movement of finished goods to minimize retention period of finished goods
• Work closely with purchasing and warehouse/logistics groups to ensure on-time receipt, delivery of materials and finished goods shipments
• Monitor and co-ordinate on material shortages, expediting and ensuring material availability to support production plan
• Drive and minimize excess and obsolescence inventory
• Assist in developing and improving existing processes and procedures
• Develop and maintain key performance metrics
• Well verse in system and process and go to person as subject matter expertise in Planning function
• Define and develop process when none is available
• Working with various functional groups (and sites, if needed) to come out with best known methods (BKMs) for implementation
• Improve closed-loop execution
• Create Training material (Regular retraining & Job aids, FAQ) & Roll-out, as needed
• Highlight if there are projects & timelines limitations
• Work on system set up and data cleansing
• Perform and Support UAT, cut over and Go Live as needed
• Help to trouble shoot and address issues by raisingenhancement/incidentstickets and follow up on resolutions

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Logistics
• Minimum 3 years related industry experience in production planning and inventory management
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and experience in SAP system is highly desirable
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player, self driven and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
• Knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concepts
• Experience in low volume high mix and DFT/pull manufacturing environment is a plus
• Experience in developing and improving existing processes and procedures
