The EMEA Client Operations team ensures adherence to regulatory Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements for the International Private Bank, covering both new and existing clients.

As a New Client Onboarding Analyst within Client Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Front Office with the end-to-end new client onboarding process, processing account opening documentation and providing subject matter expertise on KYC / AML policies and procedures, cross border, suitability and tax requirements.

The role holder is expected to stay up-to-date with all regulatory changes and requirements for KYC, suitability and documentation in order to advise stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

  • Process new account opening requests in a timely and efficient manner, with the highest standards of quality to ensure compliance to Bank policies and regulatory / legal requirements
  • Review of legal, account opening and tax documentation to determine whether it meets regulatory and internal policies to open an account
  • Partner with client-facing teams to ensure high quality and timely completion of all client due diligence
  • Understand complex client structures and advising internal stakeholders of KYC / AML requirements

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Prior financial services or KYC / AML background or relevant degree such as Law, Business, Accountancy
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively partner with internal stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and French is required
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention-to-detail with strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Self-motivated team-player with ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of legal, company and tax documentation
  • Client focus, anticipating client requirements to proactively deliver solutions
  • The team also reviews documentation in German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch. The ability to speak an additional language (B2-level and above) would be an advantage.
