KeyActivities/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other writers to develop new and revise existing technical content (release notes, user and administration guides, on-screen text) in a fast-paced environment.
- Write for a range of customers, including new and experienced operators and administrators in the networking and security space.
- Research writing assignments using a variety of sources including functional specifications, product requirements documents, feature use, reviewing issues, analyzing customer feedback, and interviewing subject matter experts.
- Ensure compliance with documentation styles and standards.
- Work as part of a distributed, global team in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with other writing teams to develop comprehensive user documentation that spans different products.
- Develop technical documentation using DITA tools.

Education/Experience
- B.A./B.S. in a Technical Discipline and/or English /Technical Communications and 5+ years of related work experience or Masters in a Technical Discipline and/or English /Technical Communications and 3+ years of related work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience documenting networking, security and load balancer products.
- Technical Communications degree.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, and working in an agile development environment.
- Experience developing how-to videos and illustrations.
Screening
- A technical writing exam or submission of technical writing examples may be required as a part of the interview process.
- This opportunity is an in-office position.
Prerequisites
- Location: Bay Area, in office.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is$78,000 - $125,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
