Citi Group Markets Analyst - Investment Grade Hybrid

Citi is looking to hire a Markets Analyst to cover the European Corporates across Investment Grade and Crossover Credit.

What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:

  • Provide Credit Trading teams with fundamental/trading views and analysis related to cash and CDS of European Corporates.
  • Analyze Corporate balance sheets, leverage metrics and undertake financial modelling including developing scenario analyses and securities valuations.
  • Review bond documents and legal documentation associated with individual corporates and their bonds.
  • Review and manage risk on books with trading team.
  • Regular client dialogue and interaction required.
  • Prepare market commentary and trade ideas for distribution on a daily basis.
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Interact with clients and Citi’s Sales and Trading teams
  • Demonstrate proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
  • Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe.

What we will need from you:

  • This is not an entry level role, so the successful candidate needs to have proven experience analysing corporate and/or European credit. You should have proven relevant experience with corporate finance, chartered accountancy, or similar background with broad client relationships.
  • Experience of working closely with Sales, Research, and other organizations across Markets
  • Strong financial analyticalskillswith experience analysing legal documents such as offering memorandums, M&A agreements, regulatory documentation.
  • Good communication skills and effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, closing technicalities.
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred.
