Your Role and Responsibilities

Qualified candidates will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining automation of software solutions in VMware environments
• Writing and executing unit, functional, and integration testcases
• Support integrating enterprise-grade complex VMware cloud environments
• Following compliant procedures and secure engineering best practices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Extensive experience in system automation, scripting, and development
• Solid background in working with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS, as well as Cloudant databases
• Proven expertise in software engineering and testing
• Skilled in Linux system administration or development
• Excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Elixir
• Experience with Ansible
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Background in VMware administration
• Experience in VMware API integration development
• Knowledge of vRealize Operations and LogInsights
• Experience in cloud networking, including VMware NSX
• Familiarity with IBM Cloud API integration development
• Experience with Windows Active Directory administration or development
• Proficiency in Windows SQL Server administration or development
• Experience with Jenkins build systems and platforms
• Familiarity with Web UI development
• Experience with GitHub for issue tracking and code management
• Knowledge of networking, network security components, firewalls, and gateways
• Strong understanding of secure engineering principles and best practices
• Experience with security standards, authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols
