Job Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for monitoring automated control reports after understanding assigned business processes, reviewing any issues, processes researching, evaluating and recommending solutions to maintain a flawless roll out of the strategy. The Business Analyst Associate will need to gather business understanding around all these reporting frameworks and analyze reporting exceptions from differing data sources, identify relationships between the data analyzed, review those relationships with report owners and other subject matter experts and define specific criteria needed to identify non-compliance/break in the process to satisfy the business requirements.
This Business Analyst Associate will collaborate with Pricing process owners to review identified issues and understand how to bring them into alignment with regulatory and strategic requirements. This role will also be responsible for fully documenting the process, partnering with colleagues to validate and QC, review, raise and track any identified exceptions and provide support throughout the lifecycle of the report all while maintaining a strong controls environment ensuring a stable and secure Pricing core processes platform.
- Review Various area specific control & Monitoring Reports used across the Pricing teams for various key initiatives.
- Explore opportunities to ease the dispositioning process and deal with huge volume of data through automation and enhancements.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
- Identify opportunity areas to implement new controls across various pricing execution processes
- Perform end to end review and investigation on the reporting framework.
- Understand business requirements and create documentation for the same
- Lead Validation Results meetings, solicit feedback from Strategy teams on any findings from the reporting framework and document them. Maintain timelines and feedback loop with Strategy & control partners to ensure all applicable findings are mitigated as per the chosen timeline.
- Identify and effectively trace to communicate on control gaps in the processes
- Work with appropriate business leads to determine the next steps for any true investigation findings for resolution.
- Create & maintain job aids & procedures for all the processes and control procedures
- Identify opportunities for automation and leverage skills across VBA,SQL, SAS, Python for that purpose.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in reviewing and monitoring key business initiatives and processes
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years’ experience in coding Python and SQL or SAS.
- Experience in developing automation frameworks leveraging VBA / Excel macros.
- Worked in a Risk and control environment in any domain especially managing the teams control procedures and documentation of those.
- Able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions (i.e.- understanding root cause, identifying control breaks, developing timely and automated solutions, analyze metrics for any gaps in Pricing core systems.
- Team player with the ability to work independently, ability to work multiple problems simultaneously.
- Excellent communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner, networking.
- Be extremely detail-oriented in regard to verbal and written documentation and communication
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in working in Agile working environment with strong communication
- Credit Card Domain knowledge preferred
- Experience in working on automation tools like VBA/SQL and SAS and Python
- Ability to communicate the control findings and implement the procedures to fix the gaps
- Mainframe knowledge preferred.
- Experience in working on automation tools like selenium and Alteryx preferred.
- Ability to work in Shift Timing 1 PM to 10 PM IST.
