Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, suppliers and customers to review design inputs, schedule planning, progress reporting and technical query resolution.
- Preparation of design documents such as SLDs for electrical networks and switchgear components, Bill of Materials, Functional Design Specifications, sizing calculations, GA drawings, cable schedules, earthing drawings.
- Develop sizing, specifications and selection of BESS and BOP Equipment
- Develop designs and detailed engineering of electrical networks for HV/MV/LV systems as per latest engineering standards.
- Create Energy Management System related documentation including Functional and Detail Design Specifications, Signal Lists, IP Address List, FAT and Commissioning Procedures
- Design the integration of Battery Management System, Unit Level Controllers, Energy Control System and SCADA applications.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering from an accredited university.
- National Engineering Register (e.g. RPEQ, NER)
- Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) for BESS design is advantageous.
- Minimum 5-year experience in power generation, renewable energy, energy storage or microgrid industry
- Experience delivering renewable energy systems, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and photovoltaic (PV)
Key Challenges:
- Travel requirement up to 25% (nationally and/or internationally)
- Ability to meet deadlines whilst managing multiple tasks.
